Welcome to the Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed was created twenty years ago, inspired by a Victoria magazine write-up about an herb shop. The mother/ daughter team of Gail Hammond Rochette and Juli Hammond Webster created a tiny shop (surrounded by a large herb garden) offering herbal goodies, plants, antiques and locally made handcrafted items.
The tiny shop set in the middle of a large herb garden has moved and is now set in a large, stone antique mill with a tiny garden. Many other changes have occurred over the years: both of us have done other things, marriages, babies, and serious trials have tested the faith of the Mustard Seed.
We continue to have creative dreams and push on to have our families flourish and support other women's dreams. We are proud to be part of the Little Falls community and historic Canal Place and to support two local festivals, Chicks Along the Canal, part of Canal Celebration, and The Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival.
